welcome

what is this? sighthounds is a personal site created by a southwestern canine, existing to house my personal thoughts, interests, and whatever else I happen to find interesting while I'm in a coding mood. I have a wide variety of interests and I tend to enjoy talking about them extensively, so if you're interested in any of the same things I am I hope you enjoy reading through some of my thoughts.
additionally, I'm a pretty creative person and love to work on personal projects of a wide assortment; artwork, writing, and occasionally coding snippets for when I'm working on different projects. my creativity knows few limits aside from time and energy constraints—in short, if I'm working on it and find it worthy enough to say something about it, I'll probably post it here.
who are you? more details are available in my about page, however the tldr version for brevity's sake: I'm in my 20's and have a very strong affinity for dogs, to the extent of feeling that in many ways I am one. I'm a college student studying accounting and tend to get very obsessively nerdy about my hyperfixations, many of which may be seen as rather uninteresting such as spreadsheets and coding. when I'm not working on school or otherwise important adulting activities, I love to indulge in being creative. my personal characters and artwork mean a lot to me and are a key element in my self expression. I'm neurodivergent (diagnosed as an adult) and proudly queer, falling somewhere under the bisexual arospec label, however I find labels quite constraining and choose not to use many of them. my pronouns are he/they/it, and masculine terms are highly preferred.
regardless of why you happened to visit, I hope your stay is enjoyable. stay safe out there.
this site is a perpetual work in progress, expect broken links, unfinished pages, and similar shenanigans.
